Clyde Hill News: Seafair weekend ahead

An early newsletter this week to share news about the Seafair Air Show starting tomorrow. If you missed the US Navy’s Blue Angels flying over Lake Washington and Clyde Hill earlier today, you can see them again Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon from 3:30-4:30. As police updates to the Points Communities warn, “Please expect a significant increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic throughout the weekend.”

Election 2023
In the primary for city council seat 2, Ashley Eckel and Steve Sinwell appear very likely to advance to the general election in November.
King County Elections will certify results of the primary on August 15th. Their website (link) currently shows Eckel with ~48% of the vote, Sinwell with ~36% of the vote, and Spencer Hamlin with ~16%.
In the November election, Clyde Hill residents will also choose between Mark Kroese and Ryan Olson for city council seat 4. Steve Friedman is unopposed in his run to be Clyde Hill’s next mayor.
Pickleball Tournament at Medina Days
Medina Days will include a pickleball tournament starting Wednesday August 9. The event appears open to Points Residents and anyone else interested in participating. More information and the sign-up form are available here: link.
