Also: Collision on 24th sends two to hospital; investigation underway
The Seattle Times reports (link):
The Washington state House of Representatives late Monday passed a bill that would legalize duplexes or fourplexes in almost every neighborhood of every city in Washington, potentially bringing an end to local zoning rules that limit large swaths of cities to only single-family homes.
House Bill 1110 passed overwhelmingly on a bipartisan 75-21 vote.
This bill affects Clyde Hill and other Points Communities residents, as described in the previous issue, “Multi-family housing comes to Clyde Hill” (link).
The Seattle Times article offers useful detail about how we got here and what’s ahead.

Collision on 24th
Medina Police sent this email out to the community last night at 10:42pm (link):
On 03/07/2023 at approximately 6pm, a vehicle traveling westbound on NE 24th Street collided with multiple trees and objects on the side of the roadway before colliding with the trees on the northwest corner of the 84th Avenue NE and NE 24th Street intersection. The two occupants inside the vehicle had significant injuries and were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Due to the collision initiating on the east side of 84th Avenue NE, the Clyde Hill Police Department is the primary investigating agency.
Both directions of 84th Avenue NE were closed from NE 20th Street to SR-520, and both directions of NE 24th Street were closed between 82nd Avenue NE and 86th Avenue NE while the Bellevue Fire Department tended to the occupants and the vehicle. All roads were reopened at approximately 10:15pm.
